Raised in Nieu-Bethesda in central South Africa, artist Ronelle Pienaar Jenkin draws on her own upbringing and experiences in Four Faces. The artwork depicts four youthful, androgenic faces and combines them with the text "Virgins of Nieu-Bethesda" and explores how the viewer's own associations determine the meaning of the work.
