Rich colors and organic forms combine in Fumee (The Steam) by Quebec-based artist Philippe Lareau. The soft, billowing lines of smoke appear caricatured as they rise from the small mouth of the vase. An equally organic form, a deep cyan vase with an inner touch of bright orange, comes together against a cool background to create a work with strong composition and soothing forms.
