The PK91™ folding stool, designed by Poul Kjærholm, illustrates how he used historical furniture templates for the expressive possibilities of his creations. The PK91 goes back to an ancient Egyptian folding stool from about 1500 BC. Taking historical inspiration, Kjærholm created a stool with a minimalist and elegant design that became a design classic. The PK91 is part of the permanent exhibition of the Röhsska Museum in Gothenburg.
