Gubi Obello Table Lamp, Frosted White

American designer Bill Curry, the pioneer of the first "Total Look" lamp, designed the Obello lamp in 1971 with a single glass shape, eliminating the need for a separate base. With the visual form of a sponge, he drew inspiration from the atomic age, the space race and pop culture that would shape Los Angeles in the 1970s. Unfortunately, he died the same year and never saw the Obello lamp, which was only in a prototype phase, go into production.
