Organic yet geometric, Painted Shapes 03 by Danish artist Berit Mogensen Lopez expresses the multi-layered and experimental way in which she builds her compositions. A loose, curved grid of both warm and cooler colors moves across the canvas – with deep navy blues and ochre tones giving way to bright variations of blue, orange, gray and red. When they mix, faint transparencies are created in blocks of color, revealing the layering of shapes that are combined to create the final piece. Note: Poster frame is not included.
