For each cup/4 ounces of water, add a lightly heaped teaspoon or a bodum scoop of coarsely ground coffee. Pour hot water into the carafe (about 92-96°C) and let at least 2.5cm/1 inch of air upwards. Stir with a plastic or wooden spoon. Place the piston unit on the pot and turn the lid so that the spout is closed to prevent heat from escaping.
