Our kilim rugs redefine traditional kilim craftsmanship by adding modern colours and patterns. Our kilim rugs are handmade, which is why the fabric may differ slightly from carpet to carpet. Weaving is done on a punja loom using a traditional and manual weaving technique that is one of the oldest in the world. The wool-cotton yarn is dyed by hand, and due to the nature of wool and dye, some color variations may occur. The kilim weaving yarns have a unique, coarse structure that gives the carpet an extra element of tactility, which is characteristic of traditional kilim carpets.
