For each cup/4 ounces of water, add a lightly heaped teaspoon or a bodum scoop of coarsely ground coffee. Pour hot water into the carafe (about 92-96°C) and let at least 2.5cm/1 inch of air upwards. Stir with a plastic or wooden spoon. Place the piston unit on the pot and turn the lid so that the spout is closed to prevent heat from escaping. Let the coffee brew for four minutes, then hold the handle and slowly lower the plunger downwards. Turn the lid to open the spout and pour yourself your delicious cup of stimulant.
