Georg Jensen Bernadotte Thermos 1 L, Terracotta Red

The elegant and popular Bernadotte thermos is a great example of combining the beauty of classic Scandinavian design with the practical functionality of today. Originally conceived by Swedish Prince Sigvard Bernadotte in 1938 as a beautiful but normal jug, the design has been transformed into a modern vacuum thermos. Sigvard Bernadotte was the son of the Swedish king and made a career as one of the earliest design partners of Georg Jensen. His work is strongly influenced by the then prevailing functionalism and is characterized by sophistication and elegance, but above all by functionality. The characteristic fluted jug is made of chromed stainless steel and has a specially coated inner container that is resistant to taste contamination. The lid has a push button that prevents the jug from dripping and keeps drinks warm or cold for up to 6 hours.
