Fritz Hansen Objects August Sandgren Leather Box, 26cm

Containers that store smaller things at home can be practical and look good at the same time. In collaboration with August Sandgren, the Danish product of exclusive handmade leather cases, this series of attractive containers was made from leather scraps produced during the production of the Egg™ and Swan™ chairs. The unusual production method is based on an old bookbinding tradition, where the bookbinder skillfully shapes the leather. While a patina develops on the leather, causing it to age in beauty, the natural linen with which the boxes are lined ensures that their contents are not damaged.
