Louis Poulsen Vl 56 Pendant, Brass

The VL 56 pendant lamp was designed by Vilhelm Lauritzen for Folkets Hus in Copenhagen. The building was a total work of art by Lauritzen, for which he designed everything from doorknobs and stairs to furniture and lighting. The VL 56 pendant lamp still hangs above the bar in the building that is now used as a concert hall under the name "Vega". The chrome and brass pendant lights provide an exceptional downward light. The radial perforation pattern softens the contrast between light and dark while casting a beautiful pattern on the surrounding surfaces.
