Poul Henningsen designed hundreds of lamps based on the three-shade system he developed in 1926. This enables unsurpassed lighting quality for every conceivable requirement. Many of his lamp designs contain a number. This refers to the shade sizes of the respective lamp. The PH 3/3 is a “full” size pendant light that is characterized by its attractive, compact appearance. The upper screen measures approx. 30 cm and the middle and lower screen follow the large screen in a ratio of 3:2:1.
The lamp emits a diffuse, pleasant and glare-free light, characteristic of Poul Henningsen's reflective three-shade system. The lamp is available with white opal glass or with black lacquered metal with soft touch and white inside. While the metal shades with the white lacquered inside emit a delicate light that is primarily directed downwards, the metal upper shade in conjunction with the translucent middle and lower shades made of three-layer, hand-blown opal glass also create a warm glow around the lamp. The supplied diffuser made of frosted glass is easy to insert and ensures an even softer light emission.
