Kay Bojesen Shepherdess H 20 Cm Light Blue

Sale price1.399,00 kr

The shepherdess looks stunning in the Kay Bojesen interpretation with golden shoes, golden hat and staff – just like H.C. Andersen describes her in the fairy tale. Her heart-shaped mouth emphasizes her sweetness and innocence. Alone it is beautiful and graceful, and together with the chimney sweep they become a symbol of love and unity. In the fairy tale of the shepherdess and the chimney sweep, the old Chinese tries to force the shepherdess to marry the satyr. The couple in love decides to flee through a stovepipe to the roof and out into the world – which overwhelms the shepherd a bit. Therefore, they return home, and fortunately it turns out that the old Chinese can no longer have any influence on the fate of the couple. They go to great lengths to be together, and the love between them makes all the difference. Kay Bojesen and H.C. Andersen have a lot in common. Both were passionate about storytelling and were ahead of their time. They created a new way of storytelling and, with their original stories and unparalleled creativity, were quickly loved by children and adults alike – and still are. The shepherdess is turned from FSC-certified beech wood and is characterized by the quality of craftsmanship with which all Kay Bojesen wooden figures are made. Its form is based on the original figures from the archives – simple and minimalist, but full of life and soul. In addition, it is painted by hand with great precision and accuracy to ensure the magic and wonder that can only be added by the human hand. Colour: Light blue Material: lacquered beech, FSCMase: LxWxH 10x9,5x20 cm
