Entropy sand is part of an ongoing exploration of the wavelength of colors, in this case sand or beige. Jelena Donko's work, which comes from the artist's background in science and architecture, uses color on a conceptual level to describe movement – the movement of a certain wavelength. The texture is expressed through the use of acrylic paints on heavy, textured watercolor paper and is created through deliberate adjustments in the fluidity and transparency of the relationship between these two media.
