In 1958, Arne Jacobsen designed the Swan™ and Egg™ chairs for the lobby and lounge areas of the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen. The assignment to design all the elements of the hotel building and the furniture was a great opportunity for Jacobsen to put his theories of integrated design and architecture into practice.
