Tribeca's lamp collection began with a classic American road trip. Danish designer Søren Rose traveled across the U.S. in the early to mid-20th century to collect lamps. He brought his cache back to the studio in New York, disassembled and reassembled it, mixing and adjusting lamps as he walked on. These experiments gave rise to the Tribeca Collection, inspired by the glamour of New York in the late 1930s, with a distinctly industrial flair.
