Already in the years 1925/26 Poul Henningsen designed the 3-piece lampshade, and the first models, which were created with the help of Louis Poulsen, were shown at a Paris exhibition. This collaboration lasted until the death of Fr. Henningsen in 1967. Throughout his life, Poul Henningsen has been concerned with creating luminaires with glare-free light that cast soft shadows and direct the light cone to the right place. The model PH 80 floor lamp belongs to the 30 models with 3-piece shade series, three of which are outdoor lamps. The luminaire emits diffused and symmetrical light.
