The castle is located in the center of Kolding and overlooks the lake opposite. This has been the case for 700 years, so there was time to reflect on all the exciting events that took place there. The worst was the fire of 1808, which caused considerable damage to the castle. Fortunately, the castle has been renovated and is now enjoying its best years as a museum and landmark.
