Holmegaard Calabas Vase 21 Cm, Burgundy

Using nature as a source of inspiration, Peter Svarrer has created a completely new vase made of coloured glass. Calabas are round and organic in expression, just like the bottle-shaped fruit calabas after which the vase is named. Calabas bordeaux measures 21 cm and is perfect for the big bouquet. The spacious floor offers plenty of room for water and the narrow waist holds the flowers together. The vase opens upwards and the wide opening gives the bouquet plenty of space to unfold. As is tradition at Holmegaard, Calabas vases are mouth-blown by experienced glassmakers with many years of experience, who perfectly master their craft and take pride in producing glass vases of the highest quality. With their knowledge, intuition and artistic understanding, they design the Calabas vases to get the perfect glass weight with a thick bottom, a thinner rim and a soft profile. It takes practice to strike the right poetic proportions of the Calabas vase, which reflects the light, the water in the vase and the beauty of the flowers at the same time.
