The Zoo Tower is inspired by the Eiffel Tower and was opened in 1905 with 182 steps from ground to top. Back then, the entrance fee was 15 øre if you climbed all 182 steps yourself and 30 øre if you took the elevator. From the top you have a magnificent view over Copenhagen to Roskilde and you can even see the beautiful Øresund Bridge. At night, the red neon lights signal bedtime to most animals and a wake-up call for the nocturnal.
