To celebrate the legacy of Hans J. Wegner and more than 70 years of collaboration, Carl Hansen has teamed up with renowned designer Ilse Crawford, as mentioned a few times, to create a new color palette for the first five chairs that Hans J. Wegner created for us in 1950. With great respect for the existing design, Ilse Crawford has created a modern and timeless colour palette for the five design icons, adapting a decades-old design into the 21st century. The result is a bold, multifaceted reinterpretation of Wegner's work that alludes to his pioneering work. The timeless design of the chairs is emphasized by the use of rich, picturesque colors, inspired by the expressionist works of Per Kirkeby, one of Denmark's most important painters.The design of this chair embodies the obvious simplicity with the absolute comfort.
